RAW BEAUTY

MARIA CLARA MACRÍ

LA NIÑA

Naples is swarming with very talented artists that not always make it to the news or are appreciated by the big crowds.

Nonetheless they have an energy that is real, pure and worth paying attention to.

Maria Clara Macrì, author of “In Her Rooms”, has mastered through the years the ability to look at the energy of her subjects and with La Nina she was able to expose the intimate bond with the artist and show to the world the energy freed up by a charismatic soul.

“I always look at my subjects as if they were energies. It is obvious that there is also the body in the way. What I do with them is allow them to wear their own energy. I think this is the key to my photography; in nudity I always see that ethereal, almost asexual beauty.

In fact, there is no sexualization, but certainly there is an erotic energy, which for me is creative energy, that is mixed with sexual and erotic energy.

Photography in a sense is also an erotic act.”
